Course content

Block 1 – Basic Level

Learn what a PLC is, how to create your first project in Studio 5000 and how to use the main tools: variables, counters, timers, ladder and structured language. You will finish with a complete project of dosing materials with analogue and digital signals.

Topic 4: Ladder
Topic 5: What are counters and how to use them
Topic 6: What are timed timed masks, what types are there, and how to use them
Topic 7: Structured language
Topic 8: Creating the first project and connecting it to the simulator
Topic 9: Modify the first project, add strike and march.
Topic 10: Modifying the first project, adding timers.
Topic 11: Modifying the first project, adding counters.
Topic 12: Final project of the block, material dosing system. Analog and digital inputs and outputs are used.

Block 2 – Intermediate Level

It delves into the use of reusable code blocks (ADD-ONs), advanced variables, state machines, and GRAFCET. You will create a liquid control project with analogue and digital signals, and you will learn about industrial communications.

Topic 3: State machines, what they are and how they are used. GRAFCET.
Topic 4: Project Creation: State Machine in Liquid Control Tank with Digital and Analog Signals.
Topic 5: Industrial Communications.

Block 3 – Advanced Level

Make the leap to the professional level. You will learn about robot control and programming, safety management, industrial signage, and the logical structure of a real machine. You will program operating modes (manual, semi and automatic), emergency stop, recovery and complete industrial projects with interactive simulation in real time.
